constantly thinking about my mom’s coworker;

someone was selling a bunny hair tie at my mom’s work and she was considering buying it; then came her coworker and sneered that wasn’t her daughter already twenty and wasn’t she clinging to her daughters childhood?

sometimes i am looking in the mirror and consider that. me, with my double braids and elphaba green nails and red braces and strawberry earrings and ponyo tee. i would’ve loved the bunny hair tie and I wonder why is that such a problem. I constantly wonder if I would be taken seriously like that. I am short and have round hamster cheeks, and constantly people think that I am a child. Am I wrong? Should I expect people to be so judgemental? I just know that I’d have liked the damned bunny hair tie.
